Personal Statement
I started out in the motion picture industry in 1998 and I became a member of IATSE local 600 in 2002. I worked primarily on commercials, television shows, promos, music videos and movies for companies such as Anonymous Content, Smuggler, FOX, Kandoo Films, Untitled, Moxie, Morton Jankle Zander, Sedna Films, Paramount Studios, Warner Brothers, Universal, Engine Room and Sony - I was a camera assistant / film loader and I worked out of the back of a truck.
In 2008, I started shooting original materiel. I wrote and directed a feature film called "EUGENE" which premiered at The Palm Springs International Film Festival and was nominated for the “New Vision New Voices Award." EUGENE screened at 14 national and international film festivals and received numerous nominations and a few awards in categories for best writing, best directing and best performances.
In 2011 I made the 10-episode web-series THE FUNNY MAN, financed and distributed by Dailymotion. The THE FUNNY MAN received 6 awards including “Outstanding Director” & “Outstanding Writer” by The LA Web-Series Festival. I have received awards and nominations for other work including Best Narrative Short Film (TURNS) at So Cal Indie Fest, and Best Television Pilot Script (BATHROOM DIARIES) at Maui Film Festival (but I'm not sure how I won that). - In 2015 I was hired to write, produce and direct an "edgy" movie within 90 days on an ultra-low budget with no script, only a simple log-line. The resulting film looks amazing and achieved a limited theatrical release in Los Angeles in 2016, it was called South 32.
I'm committed to the craft of filmmaking, and always welcome opportunities to learn and grow as filmmaker.
